Me - a ghost - being casual in New York…

Being a bookish introvert, I like being a “ghost.”

I prefer to work behind the scenes and I love to help clients create quality content that captures their inimitable spirit and boosts their careers.

My home is a veritable library, it’s toppling with stacks of books in every room; my love of writing was spawned from my lifelong obsession with reading. I deeply maintain that one can’t be a good writer if one isn’t a dedicated reader. A consummate nerd, I’m interested in everything and can therefore write on any topic and in any register. I devour information and I live for art.

I am an award-winning writer, editor and published poet based in Canada. With over ten years of freelance writing experience and currently studying as a PhD candidate in English and Creative Writing, I am an expert in my field.

Working with clients and creative directors in design, film, multimedia, public relations and advertising, my work has ranged from high-level concepting to ghostwriting books to the nitty-gritty of display copy and content.

For clients like Moment Factory, I’ve tackled highly creative concepts for large scale music concerts, storyboards for narrative-based interactive art installations, interactive historical narratives for museums and indoor playscapes. For other clients I have helped re-conceptualize and write their brand bible, I've ghostwritten for their social media outlets, and refined their brand narrative. I’m at my best working on complicated, intense projects whether alone or in a team setting—when the tension is high and so are the stakes, I’m the person you call. (One client told me, “We kind of don’t want to tell other people about you so that we can have you.”)

When I’m not working with clients, I write books under my own name. I’ve two published volumes under my belt—Oh There You Are I Can't See You Is It Raining? (Invisible Publishing) and In on the Great Joke (Coach House Books). I see this work as running in parallel with my client work, and I love to bring a little bit of my sense of literary innovation to my work as needed.

So let’s talk. If I seem to you like the right fit and I’m available, I’ll disclose my identity, more of my work and background, and we can talk collaboration.
