Why the ghost? Where’s your face?
I take the “ghost” part in ghostwriting very seriously. I consider what I do to be all about you. A lot of high-level ghost and copywriters work on amplifying their personal brand whilst also developing the brands of others. While that’s all well and good, I’m more interested in my clients falling in love solely with the quality of my work and how it improves their lives.
Some people ask if I have a problem with my clients taking credit for what I write. I have no problem with that at all because it is ultimately theirs, I am simply a conduit who unscrambles their thoughts and communicates them artfully. I say artfully because writing is an art - just as a CEO is skilled in the art of business however, being a brilliant businessperson or charismatic personality doesn’t necessarily mean they are skilled with the language necessary to translate their thoughts in an engaging way.
I bring a unique angle to your storytelling: having a Master’s degree in literature and creative writing means that I have spent 6 years in a formal setting studying and practicing the art of storytelling, and having two award-winning books under my actual name with a third on the way means that my study and practice speak for themselves. I have brought my formal study and creative practice into my eight-plus years of experience concepting and copywriting for renowned multimedia and design companies and for smaller businesses as well. For the books I’ve ghostwritten, my craft is what has carried them through to deals with major publishers.
Being an author is another reason I prefer to be a nameless ghost in my professional work - when I’m writing for others, I become them in a way, and when I write for myself, it’s fully me. When I get to know my clients and their brands, it’s pretty effortless for me to be a chameleon, understand them with astute sensitivity and write their content in ways they didn’t know they needed. When clients are struggling to communicate an idea, I live for the look on their faces when I articulate what they mean. A lot of anxiety is eradicated when clients are proud to pitch or put forth their ideas with elegantly braided language. I love to see all of the “beautifully written!” or, “well said!” comments beneath clients’ social media posts I write for them, and I genuinely feel proud for them.
Even though this website (and its sibling IG and LinkedIn) are new, I’ve been a freelance content writer for a long time. I decided it was finally time to consolidate my services into a business, a one-stop-shop where all your writing needs can be met.
I’m particularly happy to announce my subscription packages. Throughout the years, clients have said too many times they wish more content writers had a subscription service. Just knowing that their web content is being written and expertly handled by a bright mind they completely trust - with minimal work on their end - frees up so much valuable time in their lives to do what they do best - growing their businesses.
I’m so excited to be posting here regularly about all things writing, and I’m more excited for new collaborative horizons!
